Joe Grimm, the well-known newspaper recruiter and a great AAJA supporter, recently wrote in his “Ask the Recruiter” column that students still looking for internships have reason to to hope — media outlets are still looking too.
Media outlets are accepting applications for last-minute internships. Such internships have come up for a variety of reasons including an improved budget picture that has allowed for paid internship positions and a need to fill positions left vacant by students who have opted to turn them down for full-time jobs or for personal reasons.
Look around around the journalism job boards and follow up with employers — an internship may still be an option for you.Posted in Members, Students | Tagged career, internships, job, Students | Comments Off on Students: No summer internship? Don’t despair!
