Get narrative writing tips from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Tom Hallman Jr.

The Society of Professional Journalists will be holding one of its Narrative Writing Workshops Dec. 12 at Portland State University. The workshop is designed to show journalists how to use narrative writing to enhance their daily reporting and the strength of their newsrooms.

Tom Hallman Jr., a staff reporter at The Oregonian an a Pulitzer Prize winner, will lead the one-day workshop. The workshop will include discussion on defining narrative writing, reporting for narrative, long form narrative storytelling, applying narrative techniques to your daily reporting and what strategies journalists can bring back to their newsrooms.
